DEECOLOGIZED
The cost of removing nature and economies from their networks
Glass containers, natural flowers, dimensions variable, 2023
This installation presents natural elements—flowers sealed in glass vessels—submerged in a flowing river, as a visual metaphor for economic and ecological isolation.
Just as removing a component from a natural ecosystem disrupts its function, isolating an economic variable from its network erodes its explanatory power.
The work reflects on the interdependence of living systems and markets, where context is essential for both survival and meaning.
