Eight years of drought.
This work gathers dendrochronological traces from some of the most intense droughts in recent decades.
Each ring functions as an archive, a burned mark, a date inscribed through fire.

  1. 1983: Ethiopian Famine

  2. 1987: Northern Great Plains, USA

  3. 2001: Millennium Drought in southeastern Australia

  4. 2006: Syria

  5. 2008: Central and southern south America

  6. 2011: California

  7. 2015: Central and Southern Europe

  8. 2022: Europe

In these rings, drought is not only absence, but inscription.​​
